By car: Leave A70 at exit "Thurnau West 21" (recommended) or "Thurnau Ost 21"

By train: Go to Bayreuth train station. Buses for Thurnau depart at the Goethestrasse at 12.57, 16.26 and 17.08. There will be the possibility to come / be fetched / collected to/at the university on October 20 in the afternoon, phone 0921 / 55 33 88.

Important: please let us know in advance when you plan to arrive so that we have the chance to organize transport from Bayreuth to Thurnau if needed.

  This map does not show the exit "Thurnau West 21" which comes shortly to the right edge of the map (the exit "Thurnau Ost 20" is shown on this map).
  The meeting takes place in the castle ("Schloss") (near the small lake) in the center of Thurnau. The "Wissenschaftszentrum Thurnau" and Mr. Friedrich (phone 09228/954220) can be found by entering the court of the castle.
